Edisons’ Entertainment Complex in Edwardsville launches new dining concept
DIY Fixins Bar combines quick, quality, and affordable creations
Edison’s Entertainment Complex, now in its 12th year of operation, has launched a new dining concept. The new DIY Fixins Bar opened on Nov. 7, 2023, in the space formerly used as Edison’s dining room.
A grand opening will take place on Friday, Nov. 17 starting at 4 p.m., hosted by the Edwardsville-Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce. All items on the menu will be 50% off for all area chamber members from 4 to 7 p.m. to help celebrate the opening.
DIY Fixins Bar offers a quick serve model with a twist. Guests will order at a counter, be notified by text or pager when their food is ready and will get their meal at our pickup window.
Here is where the twist comes in: DIY Fixins Bar offers a 24-item cold bar, 16-item hot bar, and a large complement of sauce and dry toppings to allow guests to create their own masterpieces. So, when you order your smashburger, it comes undressed, and you get to top it YOUR way.
In addition to smashburgers, the menu offers a variety of chicken sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, wings, Chicago-style dogs, pizza, sides and snack items much like you see on Edison’s full-service menu. The menu has plenty of healthy choices along with fan favorites, and most items are designed to come out in 5 to 10 minutes and range in cost from $4 to $14.
DIY Fixins Bar will feature an All-You-Can-Eat Taco and Nacho Bar on Tuesdays and Unlimited Wings on Wednesdays. Both weekly specials will be $14.
DIY will operate from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Edison’s regular, full-service menu will still be available Thursday through Sunday, with food service opening daily at 11:30 a.m.
The new DIY space offers 60 seats plus our patio so guests can choose to stay and eat there, take their items to our seating in the arcade, or simply do carry out.
“The inspiration for the DIY Fixins Bar was driven by several things including the changing habits of our customers. We have several guests who just want to get food quick and not have a sit-down dining experience, and this concept serves that up for them. Quick service, with choices of where to eat and how to top their selections, makes it fun for our guests,” shared Owner Matt McSparin.
“The pickup area also provides a great place to accommodate online/to-go order pick-up which we will start offering in January as well,” he added.

Edison’s full-service restaurant will continue to operate Thursday through Sunday along with lane service for our bowling guests.
DIY Fixins Bar is offered on Tuesday and Wednesday for our dining guests, as well as the rest of the week.
Edison’s Entertainment Complex offerings, including laser tag, bowling, arcade, and VR experiences, are available during all operating hours.
Edison’s Entertainment Complex is open:
- 3 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday
- 3 to 11 p.m. Thursday
- 11 a.m. to 12 midnight Friday and Saturday
- 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday
DIY Fixins Bar is open from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 12 noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
