‘Homegrown for the Holidays:’ Eckert’s hosts holiday market Nov. 4 and 5

The holiday market will host more than 20 local small businesses at Eckert’s Cider Shed

Eckert’s Farm, the family farm in Belleville, Ill. (951 S Green Mt Rd, Belleville, IL 62220), hosts its first Holiday Market, a shopping event with live music, food and beverage, from 12 Noon to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5.

This Eckert’s indoor/outdoor event will host over 20 local makers and artisans offering products from jewelry and ceramics to clothing, wellness products and more. The Holiday Market is a one-weekend-only event and free entry with food, beverage, and gift items available for purchase.

“The holiday season is a busy one for us at Eckert’s Farm and year after year we see people rushing to finish their holiday shopping. We wanted to create a space where local small businesses could put their products on display, and to offer a fun environment to help guests get ahead of their shopping this season,” says Amanda Morgan, director of Marketing for Eckert’s Farms.

Vendors participating in the event include Crafted Essentials by Meagan Meier, Ivory Raine Candle Co, Isaac Gilmore Pottery, Outdoor Charm,  Sweet T’s Dye Designs, House of Cups, and more.

The Cider Shed will feature live music all weekend with the following performances:

Saturday, Nov. 4:

• 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Maggie Thorn
• 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Rachel Deschaine Duo

Sunday, Nov. 5:

• 1 to 4 p.m.: The Double D

Eckert’s Holiday Market will be held exclusively at Eckert’s Cider Shed, however, Eckert’s Country Store and Garden Center, Mr. E’s Custard & Donut Shop, and Eckert’s Country Restaurant will be open to visitors.

Located between Eckert’s Country Store and Country Restaurant, Eckert’s Cider Shed offers both indoor and outdoor space with a beer garden and lounge and a venue for concerts and private events. Inside, guests can sit at the massive bar or one of the many tables or lounge areas as they enjoy flights and drafts of Eckert’s line of hard ciders, beer, and seasonal cocktails. Outdoors offers a large beer garden with an expansive bar, picnic tables, and a full stage and sound system for live music and entertainment. A full menu of food and drinks is available both indoors and outdoors with the farm’s line of handcrafted hard cider.
