Rep. Schmidt to host Nov. 3 job fair in East St. Louis

State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) has announced the 2023 Jobs Fair will take place on Friday, Nov. 3 at the Wyvetter H. Younge Higher Education Campus Multipurpose Room,  Building D, at 601 James R. Thompson Blvd in East St. Louis.

The event is open to the public with free admission and will also feature three workshops aimed at equipping attendees with the essential skills needed for success in today’s competitive job market. The workshop schedule is as follows:

  • “Creating a Resume that Gets You Noticed” at 9:30 a.m.
  • “Inside Track to Interviewing with Confidence” at 10:30 a.m.
  • “How to Navigate the State Hiring Process” at 11:30 a.m.

These workshops will provide attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to stand out and thrive in their job search.

Rep. Schmidt expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming Job Fair, saying, “I’m excited to host this Job Fair, which serves as a valuable resource for individuals seeking employment opportunities. In these challenging times, it’s essential that we provide the support and guidance needed to help the people of our communities find meaningful employment. We’ve worked hard to bring together a diverse group of employers and provide informative workshops to empower our attendees.”
