Randy Gori Memorial ‘Kicks on 66’ Ultra Car Show, Cruise set for Sept. 16
The Randy Gori Memorial Kicks on 66 Ultra Car Show and Cruise presented by Newbold BMW and Newbold Toyota is set for Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Schon Park in the Village of Glen Carbon, Ill.
Ryan O’Day, founder of the car show, said attendees should expect 650+ cars this year, food vendors, a fun kid zone of bounce houses, and a live band playing during the show. “The cars start showing up at 8 a.m.; we are open to the public at 11 a.m. We expect a few new clubs participating this year to bring some rare exotic Ferrari and Lamborghini brands to the show field. It is always exciting to see vehicles spanning the decades,” noted O’Day.
“Randy Gori was a major car collector in not only the St. Louis region, but also the Midwest. With over 18 Ferraris in his collection, when he hosted private parties, folks loved it. We decided to do a bigger show for the general public. He unfortunately passed, but in his honor, we continue the motordom enthusiasm people enjoy. In the past, Wang Gang catered those smaller parties. This car show has gotten major – 650+ cars is a lot. Four thousand attendees is tremendous, this is a must hit car show!” O’Day said further.
