NGRREC collecting back-to-school donations now through Aug. 10

The National Great Rivers Research and Education Center is hosting a Back-to-School supplies drive during an upcoming Local Legislator Neighbor Nights event, Tuesday, Aug. 8.

In conjunction with the event, back-to-school items are being collected from now until Thursday, Aug. 10 for the Oasis Women’s Center in Alton.

List of supplies needed:

  • Back packs
  • Lunch boxes
  • Crayola Crayons, 24 count
  • Pencil Box
  • 5-star composition notebooks
  • Eraser(s)
  • Box(es) of Kleenex Facial Tissues
  • Hand Sanitizer, bottle(s)
  • EXPO Dry Erase Markers
  • Elmer’s Glue Stick
  • Headphones
  • Fiskars Scissors
  • Sharpie Highlighters
  • Pocket Folders
  • 3-Ring Binder(s)
  • #2 Pencils
  • Pencil sharpener(s)

“We’re excited to facilitate this school supply drive to ensure children have what they need to be successful at school,” Environmental Educator Erica Doerr said.
