The law firm of Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd., (MM&R) has announced the addition of associate attorney, Marie F. Pudlowski, effective June 12, 2023.
Pudlowski focuses her practice in litigation and represents individuals and entities in state and federal courts throughout Missouri and Illinois.
She has handled all stages of litigation, including pre-suit investigation and strategy, motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediations, trials and appeals. Her cases and trials (over thirty bench trials and over twenty jury trails) have involved specialized, complex matters that have advanced her skills in reviewing and deciphering voluminous discovery, questioning lay and expert witnesses, arguing complex motions, negotiating high-stakes settlements, preparing for and presenting trials, and advocating legal positions through writing and oral argument.
Prior to joining MM&R, Pudlowski served as Counsel at a prominent St. Louis, Mo., law firm, where she defended clients in an array of civil matters. She also previously served as Prosecutor and Deputy Juvenile Officer for the State of Missouri.
Pudlowski graduated summa cum laude from Capital University Law School. While in law school, she was selected to serve as Managing Editor of the Capital University Law Review where she oversaw a 40-person staff. Her hard work led her to receive Academic Excellence Awards in General Litigation Clinic, Trial Advocacy, and Negotiation. Pudlowski authored the article “Broken Families: A Call for Consideration of the Family of Illegal Immigrants in the U.S. Immigration Enforcement Efforts,” published in the Capital University Law Review. Additionally, she was named the 2017 Child Advocate of the Year by Children’s Advocacy Center of East Central Missouri.
Pudlowski is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Missouri with admittance in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri. She is also a member of the Illinois Bar Association.
