Illinois American Water construction begins today at Belleville Public Square

The construction, and resulting detour, for the Illinois American Water’s Public Square project in Belleville began today, June 6, and will continue through Sept. 1, 2023.

The detour for Stage One is as shown:

City officials remind everyone that all of Belleville’s downtown businesses are open throughout this construction, and frequenting these businesses is vital to the continued prosperity of the Downtown area, and these businesses.
