Be ‘YOUnique:’ BBBS of Southwestern Illinois is looking for 60 new mentors in next 30 days
Did you know for just a few hours a month you can change a child’s life and yours? Every child deserves to realize their full potential. That is why Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois is asking for your help to place a caring adult in a child’s life through our Be YOUnqiue volunteer mentor recruitment campaign.
The goal is to recruit 60 new volunteer mentors in 30 days from June 1 through June 30, 2023. Big Brothers Big Sisters is asking the community to help get a child off the waitlist by participating in the campaign and helping to recruit the next generation of life changing mentors. There are three easy ways to help the campaign:
- Take the first step and inquire about becoming a volunteer Big today.
- Set up a 20-minute presentation at your office, church or community group by emailing Heather at info@bbbsil.org.
- Like and share the Be YOUnique recruitment video on Facebook and help spread the word.
Being a mentor to a child doesn’t take special skills – you already have what it takes. There are over 50 kids waiting for a mentor in our area who need a mentor to ignite their potential.
