More than 21,000 applications have been received for students applying for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville for the fall semester, a record number for the University, and the number continues to climb.
An impressive 13,300 undergraduates and 7,700 graduate and professional school students have submitted their applications to be part of the Cougar community.
SIUE has generated increased application activity since implementing optional standardized testing, moving to the common application and significantly expanding international student recruitment. For fall 2023, SIUE has processed 6,569 more applications than last year, and that number continues to increase! Undergraduate applications are being accepted through July and selected graduate programs are still considering candidates for fall.
“The 21,000 applications represent the hopes and dreams of 21,000 students who are considering SIUE as their next step in their educational journey,” said Scott Belobrajdic, Ed.D., associate vice chancellor for enrollment management. “The numbers are impressive and the work our team does with the students makes a huge difference.”
This record number of applications could not be possible without SIUE’s processing staff, who are working hard to keep up with the vast number of applications.
There is still time to apply to SIUE for the fall semester. Visit siue.edu/apply/ for more information.
