Residents enjoy visiting with Prairie Farms Dairy farmer, calf on National Agriculture Day

March 21, 2023, was National Agriculture Day, a time to understand and celebrate the role agriculture plays in providing food for Americans and maintaining a strong economy.

To celebrate locally, Prairie Farms Dairy hosted a Tuesday afternoon visit from a dairy farmer and calf with the residents and staff at the Granite City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 3500 Century Drive, Granite City, Ill.  Everyone enjoyed free ice cream from Prairie Farms while meeting “Patches” the dairy calf and asking the farmer questions about dairy farming.
