Overnight I-270 lane closures begin tonight

The Illinois Department of Transportation announces nightly lane restrictions on eastbound Interstate 270 between Riverview Drive in Missouri and Illinois Route 3 beginning at 9 p.m. tonight (Monday, Mar. 20, 2023) weather permitting. All lanes will be opened each morning by 5 a.m., and the work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the week.

The lane closures are needed to do pavement striping.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this closure. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
