St. Louis area businesses celebrate Valentine’s Day with exclusive deals, events

With Valentine’s Day approaching, many St. Louis businesses are offering special deals and events for guests to celebrate with their loved ones. Eckert’s Farm in Belleville and all locations of Lion’s Choice are among them:

Eckert’s Farm (951 S Green Mt Rd, Belleville, IL 62220): Grab your favorite gal pals and head out to Eckert’s Restaurant at its Belleville location to celebrate the beautiful women in your life. Eckert’s Galentine’s Brunch will be held every Saturday and Sunday of February from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Guests can enjoy themed cocktail flights, along with their choice of delicious menu items. Reservations can be made through Eckert’s website. For a romantic setting for couples, visit the Cozy Cider Cabin from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays now until Feb. 19. The pop-up bar is $5 per person to book a reservation which will be donated to Heat Up St. Louis, a St. Louis-based organization that helps local, low-income families pay their energy bills, in an effort to keep everyone safe and warm this winter.

Lion’s Choice (All Locations): Grab your sweetheart and head to Lion’s Choice for the “Two For $14 Meal Deal” available one day only — on Feb. 14 — at all Lion’s Choice locations. Enjoy two original roast beef sandwiches, two orders of fries, two drinks, and two cookie custard sandwiches for 34 percent off the regular price. Find the deal online under ‘Ridiculously Good Deals’ or present a coupon from social media if dining in-store.

Angad Arts Hotel (3550 Samuel Shepard Dr., St. Louis, MO 63103): Angad Arts Hotel brings the love this Valentine’s Day season with its “Color Your Love Room.” This year, the art hotel has transformed its signature red “Empowered” room into a “Love Room.” The love-themed room comes with a rose-covered flower wall adorned with a neon “Love” sign, celebratory balloons, and a bottle of champagne for two. The room is intended to celebrate love in all forms, whether it’s between new lovers, folks celebrating years of marriage, or friends looking to host their Galentine’s Day somewhere festive. The Love Room will be available through Valentine’s Day and can be booked here.

  • The hotel’s rooftop bar, ART Bar, is hosting a premier food and beverage package called “Eat Your Heart Out” to celebrate Valentine’s Day in style. The package can be ordered for inside one of the “Color Your Winter” igloos or for inside the bar. Included in “Eat Your Heart Out” is a bottle of La Marca Prosecco, chocolate-covered strawberries, a charcuterie plate, and cheesecake (approximately $100). Guests visiting ART Bar from Feb. 10-14 can order the package or order separately from the full menu, including bites like the Grilled Chicken Cuban Sandwich and the Crisp Flatbread. Café la Vie (7730 Bonhomme Ave., St. Louis, MO 63105): Add romance to your Valentine’s Day celebrations with a pre-fixe dinner at Café la Vie on Saturday, Feb. 11 only. The $140 six-course meal for two includes a Smoked Salmon Crepe Napoleon and Savory Bread Pudding for starters followed by a main course of Lobster Bucatini in a saffron Chardonnay cream sauce and Rack of Lamb served with fondant potato, creamed spinach, and a cherry demi. Don’t forget about dessert – savor the sweet life with a Bombe de Chocolate, made with Belgian chocolate and an Orange Blossom Sabayon with strawberry caviar. Each course also includes a wine pairing. Reservations for the meal can be made on OpenTable.

  • Café la Vie is also offering a “Savour the Sparkle Chocolate & Sparkling Wine Tasting” for dinner guests available from Wednesday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, April 30. Each tasting includes three hand-selected chocolates from Clayton’s Honeymoon Chocolates paired with a pour of sparkling wine selected to enhance the flavors of this unique dessert presentation. The tasting will be complimentary for guests with a reservation on Valentine’s Day.

Chicken Out & Hi-Pointe Drive- In (Multiple Locations): Chicken Out and Hi-Pointe Drive-In are offering up a sweet deal you won’t want to miss. Beginning Monday, Feb. 1, guests can stop by either concept’s Missouri locations to take advantage of the “You Want Some Fries With That Shake” promo. The promo includes a free order of fries with the purchase of any shake on the Hi-Pointe or Chicken Out app. The promo is available at all Missouri Hi-Pointe and Chicken Out locations through the app and ends on Sunday, Feb. 19.

City Foundry STL (3730 Foundry Way, St. Louis, MO 63110): City Foundry STL retailers and kitchens have plans to spice up your Valentine’s Day celebration.

  • Chicken Scratch will offer the perfect shareable takeaway for you and a loved one. Their “Cluckbucket”, usually at a price of $36, will be off 15 percent for Valentine’s Day. The meal comes with a whole rotisserie chicken, 2 shareable sides (e.g. Mac Salad or Marinated Kale), and a choice of sauce (Scratch Sauce, Hot Sauce, or Honey Mustard).
  • Patty’s Cheesecakes will have love-themed desserts for the month of February with the addition of a Heart-Shaped Red Velvet Cheesecake, a Rose-Shaped Cheesecake, and a Heart-Shaped Brownie Cheesecake Sandwich.
  • Procure by The Women’s Creative celebrates Galentine’s Day with some self-care pampering. From 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, visitors can come in for a free polish change from vegan nail polish brand K. Ferrera. Guests can also purchase elegant DIY-dried floral bouquets for $28 from East Coast Provisions.

Hello Juice (Kirkwood): Give your loved ones the gift of good vibes, plants, and great juice this February. Galentines and Valentines alike can enjoy Hello Juice’s February AF (alcohol-free) happy hour series in collaboration with SansBar. The February “AF” pop-up event will feature a DIY Eucalyptus Plant Class from LoKey Designs. Tickets ($30) will include AF cocktails, small bites from Chicken Out, live music, and a eucalyptus plant hanger. The Sans Bar + Hello Juice Happy Hour series is open to anyone 21+ and will be treated just like any regular night out – alcohol just happens to be off the menu. Guests can purchase tickets here. On Feb. 15, every order placed for an 18-inch pie will receive half of an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich for free. Sugarfire Smokehouse (Multiple Locations): Calling all BBQ lovers, this one’s for you! Surprise your Valentine with the gift of “BBQ in Bed” from Sugarfire Smokehouse. The “BBQ in Bed” box ($40) includes the meat daddy platter (4-bone rib; jalapeno cheddar sausage link; and 4oz each of brisket, pulled pork, turkey, and your choice of two sides), two mini bottles of champagne, and two festive Valentine’s Day Donuts from Strange Donuts. The kit will be available for pre-order beginning  Tuesday, Feb. 1, and will be available for pick up through Tuesday, Feb. 14, from the Olivette, Downtown, and St. Charles locations.
