Proposed IL-3 intersection roundabouts in Godfrey to be discussed Dec. 5

An open house public meeting will be hosted by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to discuss the construction sequencing for the proposed reconstruction of the Illinois 3 intersection at West Delmar Avenue and Pierce Lane in Godfrey, Madison County.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, in the Ahlemeyer Atrium located in the Trimpe Center (TR 141) at Lewis & Clark Community College, 5800 Godfrey Road, Godfrey.

The project involves replacing two signalized intersections with dual roundabouts. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss construction sequencing and answer any questions regarding access during construction. Handouts and display boards regarding the proposed improvement will be available for review. Representatives from IDOT and project consultants will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

The open forum meeting format provides interested individuals the opportunity to attend the meeting and obtain information regarding construction sequencing. You may come and go at any time during the scheduled meeting hours, examine the exhibits and speak with IDOT representatives. There will be no formal presentation.
