Prenzler shares letter, public comments submitted to Governor

Madison County Chairman Kurt Prenzler

On Nov. 7, 2022, Madison County Chairman Kurt Prenzler submitted a letter to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker’s office, accompanied by 21 public comment emails received by Prenzler regarding the recent health advisory. A copy of the email correspondence was forwarded to the Illinois Business Journal, appearing as follows:

“Dear Governor Pritzker,

On Oct. 20, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted unanimously to add the Covid shots to the childhood immunization schedules.

On Nov. 2, the Madison County Health Advisory Committee discussed the issue during its monthly meeting. Our health advisory committee consists of medical professionals who advise our Board of Health.

Six people made public comments, and 21 public comments (attached) were received by email, all in opposition to making these shots mandatory for children.

I would invite you and other state officials to consider the comments made by the public and the medical professionals who serve on this board.

Respectfully,

Kurt Prenzler
