Annually, as part of the Market Impact Fund grant program, the U.S. Bank Foundation provides funding to 20 nonprofit organizations across the country focused on green energy initiatives.
U.S. Bank Foundation recently announced the award of a $50,000 grant to St. Louis-based nonprofit Employment Connection, which assists nearly 2,000 individuals who have barriers to employment every year, including individuals in St. Clair County, Ill.
Employment Connection was named a 2022 Market Impact Fund recipient, with a $50,000 grant to support the Solar Workforce Development Program (SWDP). A reception was held on Sept. 28, 2022 at 2838 Market St., St. Louis, Mo. to celebrate the grant funding and showcase more about Employment Connection.
Grant recipients are focused on green energy initiatives in low-to-moderate income communities with an emphasis on supporting people of color and/or women. These grants are an opportunity for markets to compete for larger, strategically focused grants for women, people of color and low-to-moderate income communities.
In 2021, the U.S. Bank Foundation provided $31 million in grant funding, matching gifts and dollars for doing contributions. Giving back to communities across the U.S. is how U.S. Bank invests in the future.
