Hundreds of cars converge for this annual event also known as the ‘Randy Gori Memorial Show’
More than 400 cars of all makes and models will be on display during the annual Kicks on 66 Ultra Car Show and Cruise taking place this Saturday, Sept. 10. Some of the brightest, boldest and best vintage and modern cars around will be on display.
Taking place at the On the Hill Golf Course, American Legion Post 199, 58 S. State Route 157 in Edwardsville, the Kicks on 66 Ultra Car Show is also called the ‘Randy Gori Memorial Show’ in honor of the late Randy Gori, an Edwardsville resident, attorney, and locally renowned car enthusiast. Proceeds from the event benefit Backstoppers and Partners for Pets.
Admission is free, and the gates open to the public at 11 a.m. With live music from 12 noon to 2 p.m., food and beverages will be available from the American Legion and assorted food trucks. Additional live music at the On the Hill Golf Course will be featured from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Entrant check-in begins at 7 a.m. The public is invited to watch cars arrive early from the clubhouse patio. The car show closes at 2 p.m. when the car cruise begins. Cars will cruise along a designated route that includes portions of Route 66 in Edwardsville and Glen Carbon.
