Kaskaskia College to hold Aug. 30 blood drive with ImpactLife

Kaskaskia College will hold a blood drive with ImpactLife from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30 at the Kaskaskia College Main Campus.

Volunteer blood donors are encouraged to support the local blood supply by scheduling an appointment to give blood.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred and can be made by calling Zach McGeehon at (618) 545-3479, or by accessing this link: https://login.bloodcenter.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/116479?_ga=2.38529696.242946992.1661269382-27594520.1643134300

Donors will need to bring a photo ID with them for use in registration at the time of donation.

Blood donations are often used to help treat patients with cancer, victims of trauma, and patients undergoing major surgeries. All persons age 17 and up (or 16, with a signed parental/legal guardian permission form) who weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general good health meet the basic eligibility requirements for blood donation.
