- In Illinois at Belleville, Collinsville, Glen Carbon, Highland, O’Fallon, Waterloo and Wood River.
- In Missouri at Arnold, Bridgeton, Chesterfield, Eureka, Fenton, High Ridge, Kirkwood, Lake St. Louis, Manchester, O’Fallon, Shrewsbury, South County St. Louis, St. Peters, St. Peters Howell, St. Peters Sutters Mill and Wentzville.
Blueprint Coffee’s Wholesale Director Nora Brady says, “This partnership with Walmart allows for increased access to specialty coffee, which is always one of our primary goals. We also want to change the expectations around retail coffee traceability. Aligning with partners like Coffee Collective Co., who share our values of transparency from farmer relationships to freshness practices, allows for those expectations to be present at Walmart.”
Blueprint Coffee was selected as the St. Louis specialty coffee roaster for the Coffee Collective Co.’s Local Coffee Roasters program, which has placed local specialty coffee in 36 different metro areas around the country. The program allows Blueprint Coffee to commit to their quality standards. For example, all coffees will include a roast on date, and the Blueprint Coffee team will distribute coffee to each store directly to ensure the coffee is fresh. “We’d prefer coffee to be treated like fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce section” jokes Brady. “With that said, Walmart has committed to ensuring specialty coffee on the shelves stays fresh so it was a relationship that made sense for our brand.”
A cornerstone of the Blueprint Coffee brand is a commitment to authenticity and transparency. From importer and exporter relationships to sharing harvest dates, Blueprint Coffee lets the consumer see every step of the coffee production process from seed to cup. “While we have a lot of loyal customers in the St. Louis area, this new retail partnership allows us to showcase our dedication to the beauty and precision of a specialty coffee to a broader audience across our entire market,” says Brady.
