American Airlines on Tuesday began new service from St. Louis Lambert International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport.
The airline will operate two flights daily from STL to BOS using Airbus 319s. The first flight out of STL will be at 10:45 a.m. A second flight to BOS is scheduled to depart at 5 p.m. Flights arriving from BOS are scheduled at 10:05 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.
“We are excited that American Airlines has added this new service at STL,” said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, STL director. “We know American Airlines recognizes the strength of our region with this new service. This will be beneficial to both the business and leisure travelers as they make plans to visit the New England region.”
“American continues to grow in St. Louis, and we’re eager to connect The Gateway City with Boston,” said Brian Znotins, American Airlines vice president of Network Planning. “With this new service, we’re providing more options this winter with 40 peak daily flights from STL. Whether customers are reconnecting with family and friends or getting back to business, we look forward to welcoming them on board.”
AA ticketing operations are in Terminal 1. The airline’s gates are located in Concourse C. AA has 16 percent market share of enplaned passengers at STL.
