Area RE/MAX broker wins prestigious Torchbearer award

Edwardsville area real estate agent Tara Riggs was recently named a RE/MAX Torchbearer for 2021. This award honors the Top 40 agents under 40 in the Midwest region of RE/MAX by transactions in 2020.

“We are very proud of Tara. She is the first recipient of the Torchbearer designation for RE/MAX Alliance in our 13-year history. Tara works very hard on behalf of her clients and she is a commendable recipient for this prestigious award,” said Rick Owens, owner of RE/MAX Alliance. “The Torchbearer honor goes to the top 40 agents under 40 years old in the RE/MAX Central Region, which includes Illinois, Texas, Missouri and more. It’s not an easy task to earn this award so it speaks volumes of Tara’s hard work and dedication to her profession.”

Riggs attended the Torchbearers conference in Austin, Texas, last month, which featured keynote speaker, Jared James , a leading real estate coach and best-selling author. In addition, Riggs was also selected for the RE/MAX Elite conference in Amelia Island, Fla.

Riggs has been a real estate broker in the metro east area for nearly 15 years and has received numerous accolades. She specializes in buying, selling, building and investing. She is an agent with Re/Max Alliance, currently the number one real estate agency in the St. Louis/Metro East area. In the past year,

Riggs has sold 70 homes averaging just four days on the market. She resides in Edwardsville and provides real estate services to the Edwardsville and Glen Carbon and the surrounding District 7 communities.

Riggs was born and raised in Glen Carbon, attended SIUE and currently resides in Edwardsville. She has vast experience in residential, new construction, and investment properties. She is also a certified luxury home specialist, certified pricing strategy advisor and has received numerous real estate awards.
