A West Coast university executive has been identified as the second of four candidates for the office of chancellor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Dr. James T. Minor is assistant vice chancellor and senior strategist in the Office of the Chancellor at the California State University. His background may be found on the chancellor search website.
Minor will have open forums on the Edwardsville, Alton, and East St. Louis campuses. At the Edwardsville open forum, he has been asked to present on the topic, “Positioning SIUE for Transformative Change and Impact in a Post-Pandemic World.”
A link to the video recording of the forum on the Edwardsville campus will be available for a limited period following the conclusion of his visit on the Chancellor search website, as well as a link to the feedback form.

The third finalist is to announced on Friday, Oct. 22, and a fourth on Tuesday, Oct. 26.
The first candidate has been identified as Dr. Shari McMahan, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at California State University San Bernardino. A reception took place Monday night, Oct. 18.
The finalists are vying for the position now held by Randy Pembrook, who intends to retire at the end of the 2021–2022 academic year.
