Senior vice president named at Bank of Belleville
Bank of Belleville has added Mark Davitz to its lending team as a senior vice president. Davitz, who has 30 years of banking experience, will be supporting clients with their commercial banking needs.
“I’ve known Mark for more than 20 years and he has the character, values, and work ethic that fit very well within our culture and our growth strategy,” said Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer Wade Weitlauf. “He has developed trusted relationships with many companies throughout St. Clair and the Metro East area and most importantly, he’s a community guy who wants to see local businesses succeed.”
“One of the things that attracted me to Bank of Belleville is the fact that it is a community-focused bank that cares about the overall success of this region,” said Davitz. “Anytime you start a new job it can be an intimidating process, but the fact I have worked with so many of Bank of Belleville’s team members before is very reassuring. The work our lending team is doing, and the support they provide, truly does make the community stronger – a mission that I’m proud to be a part of.”
Originally from Freeburg, Ill., Davitz graduated from Saint Louis University. He is also a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Council. Davitz has a long history of handling commercial and agriculture loans throughout the region and formerly served at the state level, helping farmers get lower interest rates for agriculture loans.
