West Star Aviation, based at St. Louis Regional Airport in East Alton, has announced several personnel changes.
– Brian Decker (top left) is the new citation project manager. He has more than 30 years of aviation experience, 15 of those at Jet Aviation along with Windwalker, Solarius, Cessna and Dallas Airmotive. He received his A&P license from Lewis University.
“Brian will be a great addition to the team with his long history in aviation, maintenance background and passion to learn even more,” said Scott Koehler, senior manager of project management.
– Alan Schaake is the new director of accounting. He will be overseeing the company’s accounting functions while also assisting with designing and implementing new financial solutions to further develop and refine the current systems.
Schaake (right) has more than 35 years of combined experience in accounting, finance and operations. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Account for the state of Illinois. He holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University, later returning to school earning an associate degree in Process Technology from Lewis and Clark Community College.
“Alan’s strong financial background will be a significant benefit for helping West Star continue to grow and succeed. I look forward to working with him to lead the accounting team and help the organization,” said Luke Williams, corporate controller.
– Jeremy Camren (below left) has been promoted to Gulfstream Avionics supervisor. He has more than 17 years of aviation experience and previously worked at Gulfstream and Jet Aviation in their avionics departments. He also spent seven years in the U.S. Army and has his A&P license.
“Jeremy brings several years of avionics experience to West Star and will be a valuable asset to the team as a supervisor,” said Rusty Gardner, Avionics Program manager.
