A joint venture led by developer TriStar Properties has sold a 593,094-square-foot mega-cube distribution center and 54 associated acres in Gateway Commerce Center in Edwardsville to an institutional buyer. Financial terms were not disclosed.
A spokesman would not elaborate on the location, but the address is that of property leased by Amazon, which has substantial operations in the park.
The building, located at 3077 Gateway Commerce Center Drive, was completed in 2018.
TriStar’s Gateway Commerce Center is a 2,300-acre regional logistics and bulk distribution park in Edwardsville and Pontoon Beach.
The tilt-up concrete cross-docked structure has 36-foot clear height ceilings and is supported by paved parking for more than 400 vehicles. It is one of 28 bulk distribution buildings hosting nearly 16 million square feet at Gateway, one of the leading distribution parks in the Midwest.
Gateway tenants include Dial Corp., GENCO ATC, GEODIS, The Hershey Company, Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, Phillips 66, Proctor & Gamble, Save-A-Lot, Saddle Creek Logistics Services, D.B. Schenker Logistics, DB Schenker, Schneider National, Unilever, USF Logistics, Walgreens and Yazaki of North America.
