HSHS Medical Group Skilled Nursing Facility Program welcomes doctor
The HSHS Medical Group Skilled Nursing Facility Program has added Dr. Srikanth Markapuram to its medical team.
As a geriatric specialist, Markapuram helps care for high-acuity patients living in short- and long-term intermediate skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities in Breese and Shelbyville, Illinois. In addition to creating customized plans to maximize each patients’ capabilities and quality of life, Markapuram provides chronic disease management, medication management and comfort care.
Markapuram received his medical degree from P.E.S. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, India. He completed internal medicine residencies at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Mich. He is a member of the American College of Physicians.
The HSHS Medical Group SNF Program works as an integrated team of physicians, providers, patients and their families at nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
