Gonzalez Companies has announced the addition of its newest team member, Jon Schaller, P.E., who will serve as a senior project manager.
Schaller has more than 30 years of industry experience including serving as the engineer of local roads and streets for the Illinois Department of Transportation District 8, where he regularly managed project funds of $100 million or more annually, while assisting multiple local agencies and their representatives in providing better infrastructure for their communities.
Schaller has worked closely with the East-West Gateway Transportation Planning Committee, as well as the District Chapter of the Illinois Association of County Engineers, programming roadway and bridge projects while serving as Secretary for both groups. Additionally, Schaller has previously worked as a local roads field engineer, senior geotechnical investigations engineer, and resident engineer for IDOT.
Schaller will join Gonzalez’s growing transportation team and will be responsible for project design and management, business development, and client satisfaction. Schaller’s experience will be an asset to our clients by bringing his knowledge of identifying and obtaining both state and federal grant funding for local infrastructure projects.
“Jon is an experienced engineer and strong leader.” said Gonzalez Managing Partner Pat Judge. “His valuable knowledge of local roads policies and project management make Jon an outstanding addition to our team.”
Schaller holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is an Illinois Registered Professional Engineer.
