Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice has welcomed Jessica S. Holliday as of counsel in its Belleville office.
Holliday’s practice focuses on labor and employment, education, commercial litigation, and personal injury matters, and since March 2020, has expanded to include the impact of COVID-19 on employers. She has years of experience handling matters with the EEOC and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. She has also helped corporations with various internal matters to successfully avoid future litigation.
In addition to her work as a labor and employment attorney, she has a wide array of experience in education, commercial litigation, and personal injury matters and has jury trial experience at both the state and federal court level. She also serves as an arbitrator in the St. Clair County, Illinois mandatory arbitration program.
Holliday has been a speaker on employment matters throughout the country and has also authored numerous articles and hosted webinars on a variety of issues. She serves on the board of directors of the Illinois Defense Counsel and is chair of the organization’s Employment Law Committee.
Holliday was selected for inclusion in the inaugural edition of Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in 2021. She earned her law degree from Saint Louis University in 2010.
