Institute adds property and casualty insurance licensing program

Niles, Ill.-based Real Estate Institute, which has been providing professional education courses nationwide since 1992, is introducing a new Property & Casualty insurance licensing program for those looking to sell homeowners insurance, auto insurance, liability insurance, commercial property insurance and more.

“We’re excited to be adding more high-quality professional education courses to our portfolio,” said David Styburski, director of insurance education.  Real Estate Institute also offers courses in real estate, mortgage brokerage and lending, law, and accounting.

Real Estate Institute’s new program offers start-to-finish support and in-depth review of state-specific content created by Illinois Insurance producers, according to Styburski.

“Our program was developed specifically for Illinois students and includes in-person or virtual classes, a textbook written by one of our own, exam prep and our proprietary audio/visual material,” he said.

Styburski believes more people than ever before are looking for new careers.

“With so many furloughs and layoffs since COVID-19 started, people are really looking to be their own boss and to work from home if necessary,” he said.  Styburski added that the Real Estate Institute builds a learning environment that motivates students of all ages that will make them more successful in their field upon receiving their license.

Real Estate Institute’s Property & Casualty program is a two-day event, focused on giving students the necessary information they will need to pass their licensing exams.  The courses included in the program are approved by the Illinois Department of Insurance and combine state-mandated live training with at-home reading and on-line exam access.
