McDonald’s owner receives prestigious national Ronald Award

Jimmy Williams, owner/operator of 20 McDonald’s restaurants in the Metro East and St. Louis areas, was recognized for his outstanding service to the McDonald’s brand with the Ronald Award.

The esteemed Ronald Award is awarded to the top 1 percent of owner/operators across the country who have made outstanding contributions to strengthening McDonald’s brand image and serving their customers and local communities. The award recognizes Williams’ dedication to McDonald’s, to his team members, and to the communities in which he operates.

“Jimmy Williams is a pillar within the McDonald’s family and an outstanding community leader in the St. Louis metropolitan region,” said Harish Ramalingam, field vice president, McDonald’s Nashville Field Office. “We are proud of his commitment to supporting the communities he serves, his leadership of his employees and his contributions to strengthening the McDonald’s brand. He has rightfully earned the Ronald Award.”

Williams history with McDonald’s began many years ago when he got his first job at the McDonald’s in East St. Louis, which he now owns.

“Thanks to all of the St. Louis McDonald’s franchisees,” he said. “While this award may have my name on it, this is for all of us. And thank you to my team and the McDonald’s company for their continued support, especially over the last year. This is a tremendous honor.”

Williams operates restaurants in East St. Louis, Belleville, Pontoon Beach, Swansea, and Granite City in Illinois and in the city of St. Louis and North St. Louis County in Missouri.

Jimmy is a good man and a fantastic businessman. I have the privilege of serving on the St Louis Zoo’s board of directors with him. He’s one of the hardest working men I know and very humble.

As good as he is as a businessman and as a community campaigner (and he is), he’s much better at being himself – an honest, humble and sincere person with an electrifying personality . Congratulations Jimmy and to Janet, an appreciative “thank you” for letting Jimmy be Jimmy.
