Belleville’s ‘Save the Girls’ appears on ‘Good Morning America’

ABC’s “Good Morning America” featured Belleville-based business “Save The Girls” on its Thursday Deals and Steals segment.

The report featured a 50 percent price markdown of the Save the Girls Touch Screen Purses and Protective Hats. The sale ends at midnight (end of day) Friday, Sept. 25.

Owner and founder Tami Lang was ringing up worldwide sales of the merchandise before being devastated by COVID-19’s economic impact.

Some 2,500 retail stores that carried the line of touch screen purses were all closed.

“Even now sales are just 30 percent  of normal,” said Lang.  “Being on ‘Good Morning America’ is really a life saver for us and our company.  Any support is very helpful!”

The Save the Girls’ “Good Morning America” sales site is gma-savethegirls.com.

Save the Girls was profiled last year by the Illinois Business Journal. That story can be found here.
