Heartland Women’s Healthcare offers new gender-reveal testing

Heartland Women’s Healthcare, which has offices across the region, is offering expecting parents a new option in gender reveal testing.

Through an exclusive partnership with the Clinical Division of SneakPeek, expecting families can learn their baby’s gender as early as eight weeks along in their pregnancy. Heartland Women’s Healthcare says it is the first and only practice to offer advanced chromosome-based gender testing in the 16 Illinois and Missouri communities it serves.

“A baby’s gender is typically revealed in an ultrasound between 18 to 21 weeks into a pregnancy. By providing this new service line, expecting families will be able to learn their baby’s gender earlier and accurately,” said Dr. Michael Schifano, founder and president of Heartland Women’s Healthcare.

SneakPeek Clinical testing uses a small sample of blood from an expecting mother to search for the presence of Y chromosomes to determine whether the fetus is male or female. This quick, affordable service option is open to the public and expecting mothers do not need to be a current Heartland Women’s Healthcare patient to schedule a SneakPeek appointment.

“Our goal is to enhance the pregnancy process for every expecting parent. We already offer prenatal amenities above and beyond the industry norm, including bedside ultrasounds at every appointment and a free 4D ultrasound theater experience at select locations for our patients and their families. SneakPeek Clinical testing will complement the cutting-edge approach that has made Heartland Women’s Healthcare a regional leader in quality prenatal care.”

SneakPeek Clinical testing is available at all Heartland Women’s Healthcare locations. Following a brief in-office lab appointment, the expecting parents can expect to receive an email revealing the baby’s gender within 24-48 hours. (Excluding Sundays and major holidays.)

Expecting mothers interested in scheduling an appointment can contact the Patient Support Center at 1-844-USAOBGYN (872-6249). The cost of testing is $149 and is not covered by insurance.

Heartland Women’s Healthcare provides obstetrical and gynecological care at 16 offices across Southern Illinois and Missouri as well as video-based telemedicine. Visit usaobgyn.com or usaobgyn.com/early-gender-test
