E-cycle/shredding event set for June 27 in Troy
E-cycling and shredding materials and old prescription meds are being accepted at an event sponsored by Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce E-cycle/Shredding on Saturday, June 27 at Troy United Methodist Church, 407 Edwardsville Road in Troy.
“We are excited to once again bring this event to Troy,” said Dawn Mushill, executive director of the chamber. “This is a true partnership with Troy United Methodist Church (allowing use of their parking lot), CJD E-cycling, Shred-It and the Troy Police Department (collecting items) and the City of Troy (providing tourism funding for this event).”
Collections will be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon, with social distancing being practiced.
“Everyone is asked to stay in their vehicle for the entire process. Attendees can place their items in their trunk prior to arrival and the driver will be asked to pop the trunk, and the items will be gathered by a volunteer,” said Mushill.
