Southwest Airlines announces new non-stop between St. Louis, Indianapolis

Will operate twice daily departures beginning Nov. 1

Southwest Airlines announced it will expand at St. Louis Lambert International Airport with new daily flights to Indianapolis International Airport beginning Nov. 1.

The airline will operate twice daily departures at approximately 8:35 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. Return flights from Indianapolis will land at Lambert at approximately 7:45 a.m. and 7:05 p.m. Southwest Airlines ticketing operations are in Terminal 2.

“We are thrilled Southwest is adding an additional non-stop route from STL,” said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, Lambert director. “During these unprecedented times it is important that we work with our airline partners to increase routes instead of decrease service.”

In addition to the daily non-stops, Lambert will see a 9-percent increase in overall flight activity with Southwest in November and 12 percent in December, year over year. Southwest Airlines serves 53 destinations from Lambert and has a 60 percent market share of enplaned passengers.
