Madison County has first case of coronavirus

Madison County has its first case of coronavirus, a 30-year-old man who traveled outside the country, county officials said Tuesday night.

Madison County Chairman Kurt Prenzler and Madison County Health Department Director Toni Corona (shown) confirmed the information during a late-night press conference, broadcast live on Facebook.

The man self-quarantined at his home since before testing positive for the virus, Prenzler said.

Corona said the man quarantined himself once he recognized his symptoms. She spent several minutes discussing health precautions.
