Greater Belleville Chamber shuts down events through April 19
The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel or postpone all Chamber events through April 19, the chamber announced Friday.
“As the threat of COVID-19 continues to spread to our communities, it is important for the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce to take the appropriate precautions outlined by the Illinois Department of Public Health,” said Chamber Executive Director Wendy J. Pfeil in an emailed announcement.
The events that will be affected are:
3/17: GBCC Board Meeting
3/18: Leadership Belleville Committee Meeting
3/18: YP Luncheon @ The Weingarten
3/19: Diva’s Night Belleville Main Street
3/20: Leadership Belleville, History, Culture & Religion Day
3/26: Lunch & Learn
4/2: Ambassador Committee Luncheon
4/2: April Business After Hours
4/9: Healthcare & CSA Committee
4/14: Coffee Cup Connections
4/18: HomeBrew Walk
All purchased tickets, reservations, and sponsorships will be honored when new dates are announced, and separate communications will be made if refunds need to be applied.
“We will review our other Spring events and continue to follow guidelines and recommendations from the IL Dept. of Public Health, US Chamber of Commerce and the CDC,” Pfeil said.
