Health fair called off because of virus concerns at Highland

Due to concerns about the coronavirus, influenza and other illnesses, HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland has decided to postpone the health fair scheduled for April 15 at Highland Hope United Methodist Church.

“This decision is being made in the best interest for the health and wellbeing of our community. At this time, St. Joseph’s Highland has not had any confirmed cases of COVID-19, but we are taking the necessary precautions based on recommendations by public health officials to prevent the spread of any contagious diseases,” the hospital said in a statement.

The hospital said it is exploring options to reschedule the health fair for a later date.
