HSHS Medical Group adds general surgeon
HSHS Medical Group has added Dr. Osman Mahdi Babikir, a general surgeon, to its medical team in Southwestern Illinois.
He will see patients at HSHS Medical Group General Surgery – Breese, located at 9515 Holy Cross Ln., Suite 175, in Breese.
He also joins General Surgeon Ulunna MacBean, MD, MS, FACS, at HSHS Medical Group General Surgery – Greenville, 101 Healthcare Dr., Bldg. A.
Babikir received his medical degree from University of Khartoum Sudan in Al Khurtum, Sudan. He performed a general surgery residency and fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Dublin, Ireland. In addition, he completed a general surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago.
Babikir is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association and Clinical Robotic Surgery Association.
