McKendree offering 50 percent tuition discount on summer classes

Undergraduate students will save 50 percent on tuition when they register for summer classes offered at McKendree University’s Lebanon campus, online or at Scott Air Force Base.

The reduced summer tuition offers several opportunities and advantages:

Students can accelerate their academic program at a significant savings.
A lighter course load during the regular semester makes it easier to participate in campus activities.
It eliminates the paperwork required to register at another school.
Students can boost their grade point average if they do well.
Completing an internship in the summer can help a student’s future plans.

This offer does not apply to graduate students or those enrolled at the university’s off-site locations. Online courses carry an additional $70 per credit hour technology fee. Lab or other course-specific fees will also apply, however, student activity and health services fees will not be charged. The financial aid staff will review all students who have financial aid eligibility.

In addition, McKendree has reduced housing costs significantly to support students who want to work, study or train this summer. Rates are as follows:

– May 11-31       $200

– June 1-30        $300

– July 1-31         $310

– Aug. 1-21        $210

– Entire summer, May 11-Aug. 21    $990

McKendree students may access the class schedule at https://wa.mckendree.edu. Interested current undergraduates may contact their academic advisors and new students should contact their McKendree admission counselor for more information.
