New firm, Archford Accounting, launches in Metro East
A new firm, Archford Accounting LLC, has launched in Metro East and now combines the talent from three firms.
Archford Accounting, LLC is a new company formed by Jim Maher, the owner of Archford Capital Strategies, a Swansea-based wealth management firm.
Just after it formed, Archford Accounting acquired Deck & Co., P.C., of Glen Carbon, and Tragesser & Associates P.C., located in O’Fallon, Ill. The joining of the firms was effective Jan. 1, 2020.
Archford as a brand will encompass wealth management, retirement planning, consulting and, now, accounting services.
“The formation of Archford Accounting is our next step forward in helping our clients with comprehensive records and tax management. We are so excited to welcome these teams to Archford Accounting,” said Maher, CEO of Archford Accounting (shown).
Archford Accounting will be providing a wide range of accounting services to both individuals and business clients, including tax return preparation, payroll, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, entity selection, tax consulting for new and existing businesses, record and data management and more.
The accounting firm will be operating business at 13 Wolf Creek Dr., Suite 3, Swansea, Ill.; 1 Glen Ed Professional Park, Glen Carbon, and 785 Wall St, O’Fallon.
Barbara Deck, Deck & Company, P.C.’s founding partner, will be joining Archford Accounting as tax director.
“Joining Archford Accounting will offer us the ability to continue to our goal of providing great customer service, offer additional services such as a family library, and still maintain a small firm feeling,” said Deck.
Nick Maduri, Tragesser & Associates, P.C.’s managing partner, will also be joining Archford Accounting as tax director.

Archford Accounting has 13 employees, and each one brings a diverse background in accounting and tax consulting. The firm strives to help individuals and businesses minimize their taxes and help them and nonprofits maximize their growth.
