Construction company announces relaunch, new name

GRP Mechanical Co. Inc. and Wegman Electric Co. have jointly announced the relaunch of their firm.

As of Dec. 9, it will be known as GRP|WEGMAN.

“GRP|WEGMAN combines the strengths of GRP Mechanical and Wegman Electric Company,” the firm said in a letter to customers. “By bringing both names into one, we look to simplify the process of construction for our customers. Our core competencies will remain the same, but our goal is to better serve you by providing a broader array of services through your current GRP or Wegman point of contact.”

GRP, which is based in Bethalto, acquired Wegman, of East Alton, in 2018.
