Cullinan Properties hires IMPACT Strategies for new cancer center
Cullinan Properties, Ltd., of Peoria has hired IMPACT Strategies, Inc. of Fairview Heights as the construction manager for renovation of the former Bergner’s store location at the Quincy Mall in Quincy.
IMPACT will provide solutions for transforming the former mall anchor store into the Cancer Institute and Surgery Center for Quincy Medical Group.
The Cancer Institute will house infusion therapy, a radiation oncology, a LINAC (Linear Accelerator) suite, a CT scan suite, an X-ray suite, clinical research, and other cancer support services.
The Surgery Center will include endoscopy, cardiac catheterization, ophthalmology laser surgery, and operation rooms to support other surgical specialties. More than 70,000 square-feet of the old mall anchor will be repurposed to create space for the two healthcare specialties, which will also include medical office space, waiting rooms, a new elevator, and a pharmacy, in addition to the lifesaving equipment that will be installed.
IMPACT Strategies is working with The Farnsworth Group, Inc., of Peoria as the architect/engineer on the project and the Cancer Institute is scheduled to be completed in early 2020 with the Surgery Center following later in the year.
