The Edwardsville Community Foundation says Sue Webb was recently appointed as a board director.
Webb currently serves as the marketing and communications director for Signature Medical Group. In that role, she is responsible for planning, development and implementation of all marketing, branding, sales and business development. Webb has also held instrumental leadership roles for several local nonprofit organizations including Curtain’s Up Theater Company, SSM Health System’s Chiara Corporation, and as an Edwardsville schools and St. Mary’s parish volunteer.
“From a business perspective, Sue brings more than 15 years of valuable knowledge and experience to our board,” said ECF Executive Director Pam Farrar. “More importantly though, Sue has always been very generous with her time and has made a tremendous impact through her volunteer efforts. She understands the needs of our community and is passionate about helping nonprofits succeed.”
Webb currently lives in Glen Carbon and is married to her husband, Kevin. The couple has three children; Tom, Mary and Joe. Webb grew up in a family of educators and farmers. She was the youngest of nine children on a farm in central Illinois. Six of her sisters became educators and their mother taught in a one-room schoolhouse in the 1940’s.
The Edwardsville Community Foundation was founded to create an organization where people could donate money that would directly impact the quality of life in the local communities. The ECF operates as a charitable trust that receives, manages, and distributes tax-deductible charitable contributions for the benefit of the residents living in the local communities, as defined by the Edwardsville School District 7. Since its inception in 1997, the ECF has distributed more than $6.4 million to charitable causes.
