Centerstone to honor Community Champions

Centerstone, a provider of behavioral health care, will hold individuals at its 15th annual Community Champions Banquet in June.
The event honors people who have made a difference by advancing mental health and substance use disorder services through their advocacy, leadership and service.
This year’s winners are (from Metro East): Cory Davenport with Riverbender.com; and state Rep. Monica Bristow, D-Alton; and (from Southern Illinois) Camille Dorris, Southern Illinois Coalition for the Homeless; and Brittney Hale, of Prevent Child Abuse Illinois.
“The four Community Champions we will honor during these events display commitment and dedication to their community, and Centerstone is honored to recognize them for their work and for the positive impact they have made in the lives of so many across our region,” said John Markley, regional CEO for Centerstone.
The banquet honoring the Metro East-area Community Champions will be held on Tuesday, June 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Centerstone, 2615 Edwards St., Alton.
The banquet honoring the Southern Illinois Community Champions will be held on Thursday, June 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Centerstone’s new Medication Assisted Treatment facility, 202 South Bentley, Marion.
The events are open to the public; however, reservations are required by Wednesday, May 29. To RSVP, visit bit.ly/15thCCC or call (855) 608-3560, ext. 7830.
