Realtors hire Butcher as executive VP

    Kristen Butcher became executive vice president of the Illinois Realtors on Jan. 1.
    Butcher, who joined the trade association in 2013, becomes the No. 2 executive. She had been vice president of professional development, a role which placed her in charge of the association’s education programs and events.
    Butcher, of Springfield, has worked in both the association and hospitality fields prior to joining Illinois Realtors.
    She previously worked as director of sales and catering for the Hilton Springfield, and also served as educational services director for the Illinois Association of Park Districts.
    Butcher is a graduate of Western Illinois University where she earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration in 1993. She holds the Certified Meeting Planner designation.
    Illinois Realtors is a statewide trade association representing more than 50,000 real estate professionals engaged in all aspects of the real estate business.
