Twice the Ice aims to cool variety of customers in Collinsville

Members of the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce and Mayor John Miller this week helped owner Joe Horstmann celebrate the opening of his business, Twice the Ice.

Just in time for Labor Day weekend, customers can pull into the lot, located at 1840 Vandalia St. in Collinsville, and get bag and bulk ice as well as purified water in 1- and 5-gallon amounts.

The ribbon cutting, held on Aug. 28, had giveaways, free bags of ice and demonstrations on the ease of the machines. Horstmann hopes to serve individuals, businesses, festivals and community events in the area.
