Rest assured: Ameren Illinois donates bedding to social service agencies

In the aftermath of the June 28 storm, Ameren Illinois had more than 200 sets of sheets and pillows that were used two days by out-of-state line crews who helped with power restoration.

Rather than discarding the bedding, Ameren Illinois laundered and donated 100 sheets and 150 pillows to St. Vincent DePaul in East St. Louis and 50 sheet and 100 pillows to Caritas Family Solutions in Belleville.

“What better use for these sheets and pillows than donating them to those who really can use them,” said Ray Riddle, director of Division VI for Ameren Illinois.
