West Star Aviation receives approval for Brazilian aircraft work through 2020

The Brazilian civil aviation authority has approved West Star Aviation to work on Brazilian-registered aircraft through 2020 at St. Louis Regional Airport in East Alton.

weststaraviationlogoWest Star Aviation announce on Tuesday the approval of the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil, which is the latest of a growing list of authorizations that allow the company to expand business worldwide. West Star will now offer full-service maintenance, installation, inspections and repairs on Brazilian registered aircraft beginning June 2018.

“We look forward to the continued growth that this approval brings to West Star,” said Scott Sweeney, general manager, West Star Aviation. “This is a milestone for expanding our business in the US and worldwide, while also allowing us to heighten our capabilities and services to aircraft registered across the Brazilian market,” Sweeney continued.

West Star Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows, and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, surplus avionics sales, accessory services, paint and parts.

In addition to its facilities in East Alton; Grand Junction, CO; and Chattanooga, TN, West Star Aviation runs maintenance operations at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, CO; Chicago Executive Airport in Chicago, IL; Centennial Airport in Denver and Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport in Houston. The company also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its newly remodeled East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
