Corporate sponsors behind Crohn’s disease fund-raiser slated for June

The Mid-America Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation has officially launched the 2018 Take Steps For Crohn’s & Colitis Walk Campaign.

mckean tristanThe annual benefit walk will take place on Sunday, June 16, at the Tremayne Shelter at Creve Coeur Lake Park, located at 13725 Marine Ave. in Maryland Heights, Mo.

“Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis” is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s largest fund-raising event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the 1.6 million American adults and children affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

The funds raised help support patient programs, enhance professional education efforts, and propel critical research for cures. Since its inception, Take Steps has successfully connected more than 120,000 patients, families, and businesses in the community and raised more than $75 million to support the Foundation.

The St. Louis Take Steps Walk festivities include live entertainment and music, activities for children and refreshments. The event kicks off with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m., and with the actual walk beginning at 10.
