Goldberg Segalla welcomes Juang to intellectual property practice

Goldberg Segalla’s Intellectual Property practice continues to expand with the addition of partner Richard Juang in St. Louis.
Juang, formerly of Polsinelli, follows another ex-Polsinelli patent attorney, Ronald M. Daignault, who joined Goldberg Segalla’s New York City office in February.

juang richardAn experienced litigator and registered patent attorney, Juang draws on a varied background spanning pharmaceuticals, life sciences, software, and emerging technologies to help clients navigate and litigate complex intellectual property issues. Juang assists clients with patent, trademark, and copyright matters, as well as all types of intellectual property litigation. He dedicates a significant portion of his practice to representing generic pharmaceutical companies in all phases of Accelerated New Drug Applications and Hatch-Watchman litigation, drawing on a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering to translate sophisticated medical and chemical concepts into winning legal strategies.

Juang earned his B.S., J.D., and L.L.M. in Intellectual Property Law from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he contributed to the Global Studies Law Review. He earned additional experience as a legal intern with the Illinois 3rd Judicial Circuit, where he focused on asbestos-related matters, and as a legal intern with the United States Attorney’s Office.

Before entering private practice, he interned for Judge E. Richard Webber in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, where he focused on patent law, licensing, and infringement matters. An active member in several legal, business, and civic organizations, he currently serves as vice president of the Missouri Asian American Bar Association board of directors.
