Same-day delivery introduced at area Sam’s Club locations
Ten St. Louis area Sam’s Club locations, including two in Southwestern Illinois, are offering same-day delivery of groceries and other products, thanks to a partnership the chain has begun with Instacart.
The stores in Illinois are at 1350 West U.S. Highway 50 in O’Fallon and 5 Illini Drive, Glen Carbon.
The service is being rolled out in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and St. Louis. Customers can visit samsclub.com/instacart to fill their virtual carts with all their favorite items — from produce, meat, and frozen foods to everyday essentials including exclusive, premium-quality Member’s Mark products and small appliances — and have them delivered straight to their doorstep by Instacart, in as little as an hour.
“We know our members love our mix of exciting items, and appreciate it when we make life a little easier for them. Whether it’s Scan & Go, Club Pickup – and now delivery in as little as an hour– shopping with Sam’s Club is getting easier and more convenient, and we’re just getting started,” said Sachin Padwal, Sam’s Club’s vice president of Omnichannel and In-Club Product. “Instacart is a trusted partner by so many customers, we are thrilled to be launching this service with them.”
Instacart customers will have the option to shop local Sam’s Clubs without a membership, giving them access to Sam’s Club’s signature savings and bulk shopping options, paired with the convenience of same-day delivery. Sam’s Club members will simply save their membership number in the loyalty card section to receive membership rewards and lower, member-only pricing on items.
“As Instacart continues to expand to new markets and reach new customers at a blistering pace, valued and respected brands such as Sam’s Club are the driving force behind it,” said Sarah Mastrorocco, Instacart’s vice president of Business Development. “We are thrilled to add value to their existing operations, while bringing the convenience of same-day delivery to more North Americans every day.”
Sam’s Club hopes to expand this service to millions of additional households across the U.S throughout 2018, and beyond.
